This play space was already functional, but it needed a big dose of color and some transitional pieces to grow with these two toddlers over the years. We added lots of book and play storage, a larger play table, the coveted Nugget sofa, and some fun hooks to hang your hat on. What’s not to love?

With the youngest in need of nursery furniture, it was time to create a new, grown-up space for big brother. This room is a celebration of blue—navy, turquoise, chambray, cornflower, and everything in between. Bright yellow is the perfect accent, while white, grey, and natural wood tones help to balance out the saturated hues. It feels like the perfect beach day with the warm sun on your back and cool wind in your hair.

A guest room transformed into a nursery for a baby girl on the way. Hints of rose, earthy greens, and neutral woods ground the space while bright upper white walls keep it looking crisp. Budget friendly accessories accent one-of-a-kind pieces like a custom DIY wall hanging and a vintage dresser updated with a fresh coat of paint. This project is a perfect example that beautiful spaces can be achieved with any budget. The total cost for this room was below $1,000.

Amber Michels, Founder of Your Milk Shoppe, envisioned a cozy, yet beautiful retreat for her 2nd baby. A statement rug with every shade of blue inspired the surrounding design—lots of warm wood tones, a pop of ochre, custom art by Audrey Bodisco, and the finest details in pom poms, tassels, and leather pulls. Each piece was carefully selected to grow with baby throughout the years from toddlerhood and beyond.

When our sweet Amelia was born, we didn’t yet have a designated room for her nursery. We transitioned parts of our master bedroom and carved out small spaces to tackle the necessities: frequent diaper changes and lots of rocking. We also added a few custom art pieces: a large scale original watercolor by Jean Wilson Freeman and a one-of-a-kind embroidery piece by Samantha Gluck. This guest room is every bit as beautiful as it is functional—a space for visiting families to call home.
